Anita and Roshan probably passed each other dozens of times before meeting in the library one day while they were both in pharmacy school at TSU. We got a bit of their story while shooting their e-sesh, but we are anxiously waiting to hear how the rest of it played out. Thankfully we will be shown a FULL (and maybe exaggerated) version of it this weekend at their wedding. Both of their families are from Kerala, a state in southern India, and while it’s still a surprise, the tradition is for the friends to re-enact their story in a skit at the wedding reception. Our fingers are crossed.
In the meantime, we shot their engagement this week, and have been busy getting their images to them before the weekend! Hope you enjoy. (And isn’t she beautiful!)

We’ve been friends with Mark and Erica for a few years before they were ‘Mark and Erica’ and were so glad when they asked us to shoot their wedding! They have an incredible love story. Mark moved to the states from England a couple years ago, but had to move back last year because of work. He proposed right before he left, and they ended up spending six of their nine month engagement separated by the Atlantic. It took a while to get a visa, and he was able to come back just a couple months before their wedding! They grew so close even despite the distance and had an great reunion!
As soon as he got back to the states, we got to hang out for an e-sesh. Here is their bike-filled session, and next week we’ll post their wedding from the Gallery.

Karl & Rebecca may have won our Couple of the Year Award for their perseverance! We had already rescheduled their e-sesh once because of a day that brought storms big enough to make all of us depressed. So this time, nothing was going to stop us.
When they came over to the studio it was gorgeous outside, but as soon as we hit the first location the infamous Houston wind was mixing with some rare Houston cold. By the second location it was really starting to test us. These two lovers graciously faced the invisible element and were even up for exploring some new locations.
Karl & Rebecca met through their mutual friend Amber, who may have innocently tricked them into a ‘group’ outing (aka double date). Neither one of them was too mad at Amber in the end.
Also their wedding details for their April date are almost done except finding a ring for Carl. (They are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, so if anyone has any ideas or leads, comment ‘em below!)
If you see these two, thank them for their bravery, and enjoy their engagement session:

Ryan and Lauren are good friends from sunny south Florida that have lived in Philadelphia since graduating college. They are getting married in just a couple of weeks, so we wanted to share their engagement “sesh”we shot in Philly. Lauren’s father owns around two dozen classic cars at his business outside of the city. He collects and rebuilds them as a side project, so we of course got him to pull a few out for us to work.
It’s always encouraging to hang out with old friends, and they led us to a few of their favorite parts of town. Then we joined up with the rest of their crew and went out for sushi at one of the many b.y.o.b.’s that are Philly famous. Can’t wait to see you guys back in West Palm Beach!

Vu and Ly came prepared to hang out around downtown, but we convinced them to head out to Humble with us and catch the afternoon light. One of our favorite things about shooting in Houston is the hidden locations that, like so many of the people we meet, when searched out are a treasure to find. Vu and Ly didn’t hesitate a second from the unexplored field. They both run endurance races around the country including a number of marathons and the Ironman Triathlon … so a walk in the grass was nothing. We had a great time hanging out and were psyched that they wanted to head out of town with us for a bit.

We had an awesome time hanging out with Andy and Kristen. Here is just a teaser form their shoot.
On top of a great session that lasted until it got dark, it capped off an an awesome week that included one of our bride and groom crowd surfing over their bridal party, some incredible Persian food at Caspian Cafe with one of our clients, and an engagement session in Philadelphia. The rest of the images will be up soon!

Chris & Brittany were originally scheduled to shoot with us early last week but had to reschedule because of the down pour for 4 straight days. A good thing though because the weather could not have been better! This adorable couple originally came from a small town 7 hours west of Houston. It was pretty sweet that I was able to take them around different parts of the town they had never seen before. We also tried shooting in the new skate park on Allen Pkwy but we were booted out because we didn’t have any helmets on….at least we tried!
