Blue ring! Stunning.

Jessica got ready with all her other sisters and bridesmaids at her house. She’s the third sister to get married in their fun Lebanese family. Her dress was gorgeous!

Ah! We loved the tiara veil!

Note from Mehdi …

And the onlookers …

Mehdi also surprised her with the actual earrings that matched her necklace. She and the sisters were so surprised!!

We love churches that give us free range and never abuse that freedom! We were allowed all around the front of the orthodox church and loved these moments!

Rose wreaths, a Lebanese Orthodox tradition.

We usually don’t post this many ceremony photos, but we loved the feel of this church!

Before we went up to the Skyline Bar at the Hilton Americas we took a walk through the Discovery Green gardens.

Mehdi & Jessica’s mothers had worked for hours making a lot of the Persian Ceremony details. It looked beautiful!

And EVERY ceremony should have this transition! One moment tradition, next moment partay.

It’s the Persian cake cutting tradition for the ladies to hold the knife ransom and let Mehdi bribe it from them. He was flashing the dollar bills as the ladies danced around him!

Success!

Garter tease!

The Skyline Bar as arguably the BEST view of the city. We walked past the lap-pool swimmers and out on the roof top deck.

This is a favorite!

And so is this!

Anita and Roshan probably passed each other dozens of times before meeting in the library one day while they were both in pharmacy school at TSU. We got a bit of their story while shooting their e-sesh, but we are anxiously waiting to hear how the rest of it played out. Thankfully we will be shown a FULL (and maybe exaggerated) version of it this weekend at their wedding. Both of their families are from Kerala, a state in southern India, and while it’s still a surprise, the tradition is for the friends to re-enact their story in a skit at the wedding reception. Our fingers are crossed.
In the meantime, we shot their engagement this week, and have been busy getting their images to them before the weekend! Hope you enjoy. (And isn’t she beautiful!)

We wish. We are always talking of ways to expand, and a couple weeks ago we got to take a field trip to Florence and Rome, Italy for two shoots. Usually we would put up a tease of couples being lovey-dovey European style, but how often do we get to post some fun travel snaps? Almost never! So here are two from our adventure. And session pics are coming soon!

We got to shoot Alex and Jessika’s wedding this time last year, and about a month ago they called us up and said they wanted to come back and do a lovers session with us for their anniversary. We were psyched and couldn’t wait to hang out again. It was so obvious that their first year married together has been an incredible one because they were even more relaxed together than when we were out shooting their engagement. Enjoy!

We’ve been friends with Mark and Erica for a few years before they were ‘Mark and Erica’ and were so glad when they asked us to shoot their wedding! They have an incredible love story. Mark moved to the states from England a couple years ago, but had to move back last year because of work. He proposed right before he left, and they ended up spending six of their nine month engagement separated by the Atlantic. It took a while to get a visa, and he was able to come back just a couple months before their wedding! They grew so close even despite the distance and had an great reunion!
As soon as he got back to the states, we got to hang out for an e-sesh. Here is their bike-filled session, and next week we’ll post their wedding from the Gallery.

David and Katie are incredibly real. Weddings days are STRESSFUL (who doesn’t know that!), but we didn’t see many folks stressing as we hung out with these two. Their friends and family were so much fun all day, and made our job at the reception easy (see the dancing picks!). David and Katie were married at the HBU Belin Chapel and then partied at the Trevisio Restaurant in Houston’s Medical District. It’s right above the Medical Center Waterwall and is gorgeous!

It always adds a bit of pressure shooting for a fellow vendors. Kelly is a event coordinator here in town, so we were psyched that she would ask us to shoot her day. The whole week leading up to her wedding was gorgeous, but as can be the trend in springtime Houston, a last cold front rolled in the night before. It was obvious that Kelly is great at her job because she turned her chilly outdoor event into an beautiful warm indoor one.
She and Christian were incredible to work with, and were very tough facing the outdoors for some portraits AFTER already having their outdoor garden wedding. It just gave them even more of an excuse to cuddle together for warmth. Enjoy!
